Purchase: I bought a BIG HORN 16" synthetic western pleasure saddle (retails for $399) and I must say, I never thought I would brag about a synthetic saddle but what this saddle went through and survived! We were cinching up a "cinchy" horse, getting ready to lunge her, when she bolted and the saddle got twisted up in the lunge line that was already attached to her halter. The mare went running off at a fast gallop through the rocky woodlands and the saddle was bumping and bouncing off rocks and whipping around trees; Now this was a BRAND NEW saddle and I was aghast at the prospect of trashing it on its first day of use! I thought sure that would be the end of the saddle. However, upon examination after the dust had settled, I was ABSOLUTELY AMAZED to see that the BIG HORN synthetic saddle suffered ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE,...amazingly, NOT EVEN A SCUFF! I have nothing but GOOD to say about BIG HORN synthetic saddles. I have had other synthetic brands, including Abetta & Saddle King, that just don't hold up, in my book, like the Big Horns. I'll never buy anything else. KUDOS to the good folks at BIG HORN! Keep up the good work.
Likes: They are comfortable, good looking, well designed and hold up very well under the most adverse conditions and situations. Oh yeah, and reasonably priced.
