Purchase: I ordered this bridle from a Champion Turf catalog supplied by my local tack store about 8 years ago. I can't remember how much I paid, but I found it online at www.horseshowtack.com for $62. Its still on the market after all this time!!
Likes: IT LASTS FOREVER! It is my everyday snaffle "using bridle." It's 8 years old and it has gotten better with use. It is very pretty and it sits very well on horses heads. It is also very adjustable to fit many sizes of horses. The rawhide accents make it a pretty bridle but they are small and light enough to not overpower the nice look.
Dislikes: I am totally satisfied with it.
Quality: Awesome. The leather is soft, supple, and stiched very well. I'm very hard on my equipment-its probably been cleaned 3 times in 8 years and oiled (maybe) once. It is a beautiful rich chestnut color with black and natural rawhide wraps. The rawhide is still intact and hasn't shown any signs of unraveling. The buckles are attached with chiacgo screws, which is great. I replaced them with silver buckles, and it is helpful incase the hardware breaks.
Summary: If it wasn't a good bridle, I wouldn't have used it for 8 years and it wouldn't still be on the market after all this time! I have had to replace some lost screws over the years, but thats it. It may cost more than some bridles out there, but it is well worth it considering how long it will last.
