Purchase: I got the Chetak bridle, because it looked like a nice bridle, and seemed able to hold up like I wanted it to.
Likes: I like the fact that it was fairly cheap (I think it retails around $50). It has a nice look. and the color seems very rich (I bought the black), so I'm hoping it won't fade much.
I plan to use it as a show bridle.
Dislikes: The leathers seems to be pre-oiled, but it's still a bit stiff. A good oiling should fix it.
It also seemed to attract dust, but I'm blaming our super dusty arena. The dust brushes off easily.
Quality: The nose band seems to be a bit long, but if you need it shorter, simply punch more holes.
The width of the nose band seems a bit short, but the noseband itself can be fitted fine.
As I said, the leather was a bit stiff, but that's to be expected with a brand new bridle.
The big problem I had, was that the throat latch is way too small. Maybe it's just my horse, but I can't even use the throat latch, without choking my horse.
It might just be my horse, because not many throat latches fit her, but it's a problem for me.
Summary: For me, I liked the bridle, and the color, and the look. I'm hoping it will hold up.
It seems to be good quality, for a good price.
