Purchase: I purchased this saddle five years ago from a tack store in Ohio. I paid $750 (with fittings). I needed a new saddle after my warmblood's back sadly grew out my Crosby Lexington CT.
Likes: I had my horse in training and during one lesson my trainer had me use her saddle. I immediately was impressed by the feel and the security I felt riding in this saddle. I had not jumped in years and combine that with riding a green horse I did not feel confident heading to that first fence. But I jumped great and I could not wait for the second jump. I attribute this to the saddle because later I was all over the place in my Crosby. So I asked the make of her saddle fully expecting this to be a $3000+ saddle. So I sold my Crosby and bought a Collegiate Senior Event.
Dislikes: The billets are very short. I had to buy a girth extension to get my 52" girth around my horse. The leather is not good quality. I have the havanna brown color and will need to get it dyed. But for the price and the comfort its a good deal.
Quality: The construction seems good - it has not fallen apart after 5 years. Leather quality is poor and what's with the short billets?
Summary: Overall, its a good saddle for those of us who cannot afford the $3000 saddles.
