Purchase: I searched for a long time and tried a number of different saddles and then I contacted a saddle fitter at a local tack shop. She brought out a few saddles to try and then we tried the Rivella. Oh, My! it was like it was made for me and my horse. Sat the saddle on my mare and it fit perfectly. Sat myself in the saddle and we were a match. Paid 1600.00 for the saddle
Likes: This saddle was the first saddle of many that fit my horse perfectly and fit me as well. It is very nicely made with wonderful French leather. The knee blocks are set just right and I am starting to advance quickly with my mare now. What a difference a good saddle makes. My mare is a 15.2HH Morab and with the Arabian and Morgan blend I thought I was never going to find one. Never tried a saddle made for Arabians or for a Morgan and now that I have my Rivella, I don't have to. :)
Dislikes: Absolutely none. It was so reasonably priced and is a good quality saddle.
Quality: Made with the best French leather and has a laminated spring tree. A Medium deep seat which gives a nice close contact feel. The shape and placement of the knee pads sure help with the leg position. The rivella dressage features HDR's special envelope flocked panels and this saddle has a lifetime tree warranty
Summary: This saddle is the truly made to fit a horse and rider nicely. The construction definitely took both rider and horse into consideration. I would recommend any one looking to try one of these saddles.
