Purchase: I purchased the item very lightly used on ebay for $1100. It retails for appx. $2200 depending on where you purchase it from.
Likes: Very well made. The leather is nice quality, was easy to break in. The seat is the perfect depth. Allows for security in the saddle but still gives room to get out of the tack when jumping larger fences. The color of the saddle is very nice and it is easy to find items that match it whether or not you want to purchase from Crosby.
Dislikes: The regular flap is very long. 14.5" from the stirrup bar to the bottom of the flap. I probably should've checked this prior to purchasing it. This saddle is not made for people who are short. I am 5'4" and the regular flap is too long. The flap is also quite straight, so while it puts you in a nice leg position, it also makes it feel a little weird if you prefer to ride with a shorter stirrup. I think this saddle is more suitable for equitation or hunters, but not for a high level jumper rider.
The wide tree is very wide. Much wider than my other wide tree saddles. I would definitely do a measurement before purchasing the saddle, or try it out first. My horse who regularly has a wide tree saddle was too narrow for this.
Quality: Leather is buttery soft and easy to break in. The billets are good quality. Everything is put together nicely. It oiled evenly and took the oil nice.
Summary: For the price this saddle is very worth it. Those who do not have the money to invest in a custom saddle that costs $4000+ can purchase a new centenntial and are able to customize several different options. The seat sizes are generous and it is a good saddle for plus sized riders.
