Purchase: I bought these boots from bootbay.com for $89. I liked the way they looked compared to traditional paddock boots and I wanted to wear them with half chaps.
Likes: They are very comfortable and feel good when in the saddle. I like the tread - it's grippy without being a lug sole. I think they call it a chevron pattern sole. They also look good with the Ariat classic half chaps I pair them with.
Dislikes: I was highly disappointed in the quality of the boots. They have speed lacers up the the top of the shaft and they are made out of plastic. Not good. The first time I laced them up a lacer hook popped out and shot across the room like a bullet. The second time I put them on two more popped out. I was very angry and disappointed.
Quality: I am very disappointed with the quality of these boots. The leather and the gussets are nice and I really like the soles but as I said before the speed lacers are made out of plastic and broke very easily.
Summary: An ok boot that is comfortable. Watch out for the lacers though.
