Purchase: Hard to fit horse, dry spots behind withers, hard to mount due to saddle roll.
Paid $169
Likes: Entire area beneath pad is always evenly wet with sweat - the heat is molding this pad to fit the mare exactly. There is an open channel over the spine area so there's no contact - which means I finally have a "happy camper" of a horse. Things stay in place - I can mount from the ground with no concerns moving the saddle out of position.
Dislikes: There is nothing I do not like about this pad.
Quality: SEVERAL layers of wool felt, sturdy leather wear areas
Summary: Have tried many pads, but combining this pad, with the Supra Cinch and a Crusade Elite synthetic from Crest Ridge, my Mtn mare makes this 50 year old tomboy ride like a 10 year old again - and that, Martha, is a VERY good thing!!!
