Purchase: I bought this saddle second hand for $1000, it was about a year old when I got it.
Likes: Great looking saddle, superb quality as expected from the Stubben name! Great clearance for the withers, fits my horse like a dream.
Dislikes: The VSSG model has longer flats and a more forward seat for a tall rider. Unfortunately, being 5'3" it's not suited to me. The pommel is too high for my comfort, the seat is very deep.
Quality: Excellent quality, soft supple leather that is easy to break in. Stitching is great, this saddle will last a long time!
Summary: If you're short like me don't purchase the VSSG model! For the right (tall) person this saddle would be the perfect saddle for years to come.
