Purchase: I bought this saddle online from riders choice saddles. I was looking for a nice saddle to fit my husbands horse without having to spend as much on circle y. I payed right at 950.00 including shipping.
Likes: I love the flex tree system in this saddle. It really give a nice feel of the horses movement. It is a STEELE flex tree. I like the craftsmanship. It is well put together. It have fairly soft leather fenders. It seems like an over all nice saddle.
Dislikes: I didn't like the dye or coating issue. After only owning it a week we went riding and got a light rain and the saddle coating came off all over me and my jeans. I had to got home and wash the saddle down a few times with water and then oil it three time to get the dye to stop coming off. Now it is great and no more issue. I also didn't like that it was compared to a circle y and it really is no where close. I think they are a little over priced but they are nice and fit everyone but my real quarter mare. The tree was supposed to be 7" full quarter and it is maybe 6.5 and a semi quarter.
Quality: The construction and quality really is nice for the price. It isn't as nice as a circle y but it is the closest I've found for the price.
Summary: This is worth the money if you are like me and can't afford another circle y and need a GOOD flex tree. I think if you have a average sized horse or smaller this saddle will be great for you but if you have a fat horse it will probably be to narrow.
