Purchase: I purchased this bit through Stateline Tack in Petsmart for $30. My Arabian gelding throws fits when it comes to taking the bit.(I've had him checked by the vet and have had my instructor look at bit fit). He just simply hates bits, so I thought this would entice him to accept it.
Likes: I like that it has an apple scent/flavor to it.
Dislikes: This bit did not work at all! There were so many bite marks on the bit and the material it was made out of was engraved with tooth marks. My horse still did not accept it the bit.
Quality: This bit is made of some kind of tough rubber/plastic, scented/flavored with apple. It has stainless steel egg butt rings.
Summary: This bit would be okay for a horse that is FIRST being introduced to the bit or an already trained horse. Every horse is different though, so I don't know how it would work on a horse that has problems accepting the bit....my horse just doesn't like to work and has had bad experiences in his early life with previous owner.
