Purchase: I studied treeless saddles and decided to go ahead an invest in a good quality saddle.
Bought on the internet from USA distributor; paid $1200 for saddle and total $1700 for accessories, pad, girth etc.
Likes: Very comfortable to ride in, soft leather, easy to clean, extremely lightweight (9 lbs?) Best girth ever, dressage style billets with dressage girth. Must get the Torsion brand girth. I tried several and this one is THE BEST girth I have ever used.
The saddle is different from any other I've ridden in.
Dislikes: It is very wide where you sit (no twist) Hard to decide where to put it on the horse b/c it has no tree. You just slide it on and it let it sit where it likes- which is different on every horse.
Expensive saddle, but worth the money. I wish I had tried several other brands before I sunk all the money in it. Just wonder if treeless is for me.
It seems to slip if you are on hilly terrain, or your horse jumps sideways. Should use with a breast collar.
Quality: Extremely well made, excellent leather quality and construction. Will last forever.
Summary: Great saddle, just not sure it's worth all the money. I like it, but have a hard time "selling" the idea to others.
