Purchase: I acquired my first lami cell pad at a tack swap, traded 2 sets of prof choice smbII boots for it.
Likes: It is SUPER thin, light weight, EASY to clean, and DURABLE!!
Dislikes: It doesn't come in the new designer colors...
Quality: The pad is only about 1/4" at the thickest points. The gel is positioned where the bars of the saddle make contact with the pad (horses back). Very well made, anti-slip backing, only weighs a pound or so, contoured for the horses back.
Summary: I have been adjusting horses for several years now, and the 2 things I see the most are improper saddle fit, and necks out of whack from being "tied down" to unnatural positions. This pad is by far a horses best friend. People think a bad saddle fit can be fixed by piling on more, thicker pads. I used to think the same thing, in actuality the opposite holds true. This pad absorbs so much shock, you can literally put an m&m in the middle of it, hit it with a hammer, and it will not break it. Any of my customers that have horses with back soreness, I refer to this pad... it is a godsend.
