Purchase: I purchased all of these items straight from Cashel, which is more expensive than ebay - but their customer service is stellar.
Likes: I have an old (non-riding) hip/haunch injury that has made riding agonizing. In "desperation" I splashed out and ordered the stirrup straighteners, tush cushion and the stirrup pads from Cashel only HOPING for a tiny bit less pain and more comfort. First of all, I am stationed in Germany, and was only able to leave my Mom's phone number on the order. Cashel CALLED my Mom to check the sizing on the cushion I ordered (it would have been the wrong one) and FIXED the sizing problem. Mom sent me an email that read, "Honey, some company called me to ask how big yer bottom REALLY is!". WONDEFUL! Between Cashel and Mom, they got me all hooked up! The items arrived, tush-cush, stirrup pads and the straighteners, I fixed them all up to the saddle and went for a "tiny" trail ride to check them out. No pain. No numbness, no need to leap off the saddle and smack feeling back into my leg and hop around to get the pain in my hip to stop. I went for the first 3 hour trail ride I have been able to do PAINLESSLY in years. Thank you Cashel!
Dislikes: OK, buying directly from Cashel is pricey, but hey, they called my MOM to make sure my order was correct. Who cannot love that kind of service?
Quality: Perfect. High quality - deserves the higher price.
Summary: I would recommend any of these products if you have pain from straightening the fenders on your saddle with your legs, or numbness/pain from the stirrups or a hard saddle. OK, folks, I am NOT a doctor, so no product can take the place of an exam to make sure there is not something really wrong causing "riding pain". AFTER your Doc clears you to ride, any or all of these Cashel products may make your life easier and less painful! Only you will know which single product or combination might relieve your problems. In my case, I really feel like the set of products I ordered has given me BACK the chance to ride "like everyone else" without dreading pain, numbness and freaking my horse out about WHY I am squirming in the saddle or hopping off to "dance around". I think my horse would recommend these products too!
