Purchase: I purchased this saddle through a used tack website for $500. I desperately needed a saddle for my new warmblood who had lost weight since dressage work.
Likes: I LOVE this saddle! It is simply comfortable and I LOVE the fact that it comes in an 18.5 inch seat! The lady I bought it from got it brand new from a Klimke Symposium in '99 and had taken VERY good care of it, it doesn't even look 8 years old! It fits my broadbacked table backed warmblood PERFECT! I can tell the difference in his movement, compared to other saddles. It's more free and relaxed. The channel between the panels actually follows through with wideness issues, unlike most other saddles. It actually allows room for the spine.
Dislikes: The leather does scratch easily.
Quality: This saddle is made by Miller, not Ovation, so it is the REAL DEAL. It is made of high quality German leather that has an inviting aroma every time I step into the tack room. The leather is sensitive and does scratch easily though, so you have to be careful about that. Other than that it is of high quality.
Summary: I would recommend this saddle to anyone looking for a wide. This is a true wide saddle for the horse and the rider....I'm a tall girl so it did the trick for me!
