Purchase: I bought this harness online at ronshorseharness.com about a year and a half ago for $295, plus shipping. A friend had purchased a harness from Ron, and it seemed quite nice for the price.
Likes: Nice leather for the price. Some very thoughtful design features normally found on much more expensive harnesses. Ron was very helpful on the phone, even substituted pieces of different sizes so that we had an almost "custom" harness without the price. We ended up having to have a new browband made to our mare's measurements, but Ron only charged for another browband, not a custom made charge.
Dislikes: The finish has cracked on a few of the straps. Saddle is a bit wide for a cob size. As stated by another reviewer, it is heavy.
Quality: Very well made for the price. No problems with stitching, hardware, etc. Nice leather.
Summary: Great harness for beginners, training, light competition, etc. Customer service is top notch. Ron will answer any questions you have regarding fitting and is willing to substitute parts to get the right fit.
