Purchase: I purchased this saddle at WEF for $3800. I never tried it on my horse, only on the buckstand. It felt a little weird, but I rushed and thought it would be fine on my horse.
Likes: Nothing. Except the seat leather quality.
Dislikes: Everything. The saddle is the most unbalanced saddle I have ever ridden in. It might have just been my horse, but it was not working. The pommel hit me when I trotted and jumped, and I would be very sore the next day. After five rides I gave up, and called CWD. The rep would not return our calls, and finally I called the head company in France. The people were nice, but there was no way they could solve the problem. I am already fed up with this saddle, and the customer service. They won't take it back and give me the refund I need. I'm sure some people absolutely adore this saddle. Try the saddle on your horse for at least a week before you buy it. Don't make the same mistake that I did and be stuck with a saddle that doesn't fit you, as CWD won't refund your money.
Quality: Everything is fine, except I got grained leather, which is uncomfortable, and hard. The leather inside the billets has started to come out after two weeks of owning it. The billets are hard, stiff, and thick, and impossible to use.
Summary: Don't buy this saddle unless you know what you want and you ride in it with your horse. I personally would not buy one even if it did fit because of billets, and also I rode in this saddle 15 times and after every ride my butt was orange. I ruined at least 2 pairs of riding pants because the dye kept coming off. Just a heads up before you buy.
