Purchase: I bought this halter used on eBay for $23.00 not including shipping. It is the cobb/pony sized.
Likes: I got this halter because my 4 year old Connemara mare. She had some serious respect issues. I happened to see a program on TV with Clinton working an ex-racehorse to be re-trained to an event horse. My filly has had 5 trainers in 4 years. With her last owner being afraid of her. Needless to say she had some respect issues. I tried doing the training with a regular lunge whip and a regular halter and lunge line. It did not work as well, but it did work. When I got the halter and training stick, what a difference! It was much easier to use, and the knots got her paying attention much more quickly.
She is now a very rideable, usable horse. It works so well that I was able to take her away from home by herself and ride safely. She hits the halter and remembers her brain.
Dislikes: I liked the price on line, but from the website it is a little pricey.
Quality: It is very high quality, will last for years. I have not had a bit of trouble with the lead or the halter. The tie process took a little bit to learn, but not long. Once you get used to it, it is very nice.
Summary: I like the halter, but the halter alone does not do the work. The trainer at the end of the rope does the work. It is a good tool, but you need to use it properly.
