Likes: There are several types of tags, some flat for a nylon halter and some larger for leather bridles or halters. The tags are intended for dogs - so the largest size is PERFECT for your horse's name, your name and cell and home phone nubers. Mine even has room for my my Vet's name and number on it, so if I can't be reached in an emergency ANY FOOL who finds my sick or injured horse has several options on how to help. I have the tags on EVERY halter (including their lighted collars) and bridle (they slide on), as well as special tags with my husband's and my emergency contact information engraved on them sewn onto our riding vests (they lie flat, so they do not scratch or have sharp corners). SO many people ask about the tags and LOVE them - why is no one marketing something like this for horses?

Dislikes: The ONLY negative thing I can think of to say is that I padded the tags for use with the horse's rope halters, as obviously they were not made especially for rope. A doubled-back piece of thin leather works fine for this, and neither horse has scratched himself (or his pal) with them so far. They do NOT snag fingers, faces (yours or the horse's) or manes. you have to check out the website and see them to believe how good they are! GREAT service, the guy who runs the company is a doll.

Quality: Stainless steel, brushed and matte, and ENGRAVED, NOT stamped like the cheap emergency contact tags. These could sell for WAY more, the deal is incredible.

Summary: Safety, safety, safety... why let ANYONE say "I didn't know who to call" when it comes to your horse? What if he is sick or hurt or runs away? Can ANYONE identify him AND know who to call for help? As long as my horses are "dressed" with a halter, field collar or bridle, they can be identified!
