Purchase: Bought this out of Dover Saddlery for $59.90 about two months ago, but it was back-ordered and I received it three weeks ago.
Likes: Very pretty color that took oil nicely (matches my Circuit Elite saddle almost perfectly -- yes!!). It was very, very stiff when it came (disassembled) and it took four or five rides to break in and now the leather is pliable and supple. I love the roller buckles and it fit my Thoroughbred mare very nicely. The free laced reins were very nice as well.
Dislikes: The color doesn't flatter my mare's coat color, but I was more looking for quality-on-a-budget than to make my horse look fantastic. Also, when I was putting it together, some of the buckles didn't seem to "match" the straps that they went to. One strap seemed too wide at first, but then I compared buckles from one side of the bridle to the other and found that they were just slightly different. But no big deal; I got the bridle put together and had no need to worry about the little details. The thing that did bother me a little bit, though, was the weird backing on the nose and browband. It's a rough, printed leather and it was really dry at first. I oiled it, though, and now it's much better and it really doesn't bother my mare at all.
Quality: Good quality, just needed some oil and Lexol to bring it around.
