Purchase: I purchased the E-Z Ride Nylon Stirrups from Jeffers Equine, priced at $47.95. The E-Z ride stirrups interested me because I have chronic pain in the metatarsal joint of my foot.
Likes: What I liked best about the E-Ride Nylon Stirrups was two-fold. The stirrups were an absolute breeze to attach to my english stirrup leathers. Just wrap, hook, and ready! The most important thing was comfort. I was able to ride without pain in the pad of my foot because of the cushion and the wide platform of the stirrup. I also selected cages because I ride alone and worry about getting hung up in a stirrup. The cages make me feel a little more confident that my foot won't slip through that larger stirrup platform. The nylon set as opposed to aluminum are much lighter. I am a part-time distance rider and always looking for ways to lighten the load for my horse. These stirrups are extra-light.
Dislikes: I have zero complaints about the weight, comfort, or functionality of the E-Z Ride Nylon stirrups. The only thing the manufacturer could do better is to offer then in some fun colors for distance riders who enjoy making their horses stand out in the crowd. Currently they can be purchased in black and brown. I'd like to see them in glitter red, purple, royal blue, hunter green, pink, yellow, glow in the dark, or with the little lights like you see in kids tennis shoes (not kidding, would make the horse stand out when night riding as an added safety feature).
Quality: The E-Z Ride Nylon Stirrups seemed well constructed, and of the kind of quality expected for the price. They perform as advertised.
Summary: I would highly recommend these stirrups to distance riders, trail riders, and new riders. They offer comfort, and safety.
