Purchase: I purchased this helmet from our local Wilco store about 2 months ago, with the discount I receive, it was $98.
This is the first helmet I've ever owned/worn, ( I know, a little late at 34! ) and purchased it due to concern from my husband and friends, and the fact that I did get a mild concussion a few months ago.
Likes: I really like how it is very lightweight, and well ventilated, so I didn't feel like I was wearing a hot, bobblehead helmet! I had tried on other models and they were so heavy feeling, that it seemed like if I ever did land on my head, I'd end up breaking my neck due to the unaccustomed weight on it!
Dislikes: I would have to say the only thing I have against it, is the way it adjusts to tighten on your head, it has these curved half circles with points, that kind of poke into the back of my head/upper neck, when I lean it back. I do worry, also, that should I have an accident, that those two points might somehow come together and compress into the base of my skull/top of spine and cause more damage than might have happened without them there.
Quality: Construction is excellent and I felt it was worth the cost, I just need to give my husband time to re-engineer the adjustment part, to get ride of the pokey points, and I will be 100% satisfied!
Summary: Awesome helmet for a helmet phobe to wear, since it is very lightweight and comfortable.
