Purchase: I bought this saddle used (less than a year old) on Ebay for $550.00, retail new is $1695-1800. I purchased it because I wanted an adjustable saddle that would fit any horse I ride, and also for the unequaled comfort it offers to both horse and rider.
Likes: Saddle technology has come so far to make a saddle that puts the horse's comfort first, this is my favorite thing about this saddle. I love how super comfortable this saddle is for both horse and rider, and how butter soft the leather is! I also like how the flexi-block pencil knee rolls are removable
It floors me to hear people talk about how their regular width tree "fits" every horse they ever put it on! OR How their wide tree fits their wide Arab, and narrow TB.
Fitting a saddle to a horse’s back is a lot like fitting a pair of shoes to a person that has two different sized feet. You can buy the bigger sized shoe, and it will fit one foot great! But put the shoe on the other foot and it may be too big/small, narrow or wide.
Please be contentious of your horse, and go out of your way to have it professionally fitted to make sure that your saddle really fits his back. Your horse will thank you, he'll be happier, move better, and you won't have the side effects of an ill fitting saddle (i.e. bucking, pain, etc.)
Dislikes: The only thing that I do not like about this saddle is how the flaps stick out when the Flexi-blocks (knee rolls), and in the correct position for myself whom is short (5'5"). I have opted to not use them as a result.
Quality: The construction and quality of this saddle is very high end, it is exceptionally well put together.
Summary: Bottom line, this is an incredible saddle. It is worth every penny. It comes highly recommended by myself and the 3 horses I ride :)
