Purchase: I bought the Wintec Sport on eBay for $165. It is an out of production model. I wore out one Wintec Sport, and was pleased to find another one on eBay in excellent condition.
Likes: My medium tree fits a large variety of horses, all but the extremely narrow or wide back. The fabric does not pill, and gives excellent grip for a secure ride. This is the most secure saddle I have ever ridden. The seat isn't just soft, it's suspended, according to a local tack shop. My metal hip never bruises me with this saddle. I ride gaited, and this saddle is wonderful for them too!
Dislikes: I don't find dressage-style billets as easy to use as regular under-flap English billets.
Quality: Construction and quality are top-notch. It takes a lot to wear one of these saddles out. Leaving it out in the barn through the damp and heat is the quickest way to lose one.
Summary: Nice balance for trail riding whether you ride walk/trot or gaited. Synthetic for no fear of swimming your horse. Salt water? Just hose it off. It seems in between dressage and All Purpose. I haven't found anything else on the market like it.
