Purchase: I found this saddle at a Virginia tack shop online for $1100 nearly brand new. I was able to negotiate it to $900 plus saddle cover. NO saddle but this fit my hardest to fit TB mare, so I HAD to get one!
Likes: It's a well made saddle with beautiful coloring. It offers extremely close contact, as mine has no knee or thigh blocks, and the rolls are thin. It's very durable and has maintained it's beauty. Fits EVERY horse I have tried it on! This saddle is also very correct for hunters, and puts me in a great position.
Dislikes: There isn't much to dislike! One thing though: UNDER the billets, the leather gets pretty worn. Other than that, I havn't had any problems with it! It was a very bright orange-ish color whenI first got it, but after oiling it's a just gorgeous chestnut.
Quality: This saddle was perfectly designed for hunters/eq riders. It offers a flat seat and extremely close contact. The leather darkens nicely and is very high quality. It seems to wear a but under the billets, but overall, it's the best in it's price range!
Summary: I'm glad I got a bargain on this saddle, but I would have paid full retail since it fit my horse so well. I love it, and it's perfect for what I need: a high quality, beautiful, close contact hunter/eq saddle!
