Purchase: I had damaged my ankle and Achilles tendon attachment. Riding REALLY aggravated the injury! :-( I bought these for NZ$35 from NZ's Cashel distributor www.Horsetacknz (excellent service, too!)
Likes: These cushion pads are easy to fit to standard English stirrups or safety stirrups. You remove the rubber tread off the stirrup and these velcro around the base of the stirrup. I have schooled and trail-ridden in these, but they are unobtrusive enough to use for shows or lessons. These have made a huge difference to my comfort and combined with other treatment for my ankle, I can now ride comfortably for around 2 hours (I'd had enough by 40 mins previously.)
Dislikes: These have performed well for my needs and I haven't found anything to dislike about them.
Quality: As with all Cashel products (I have become quite a fan!) they are well-constructed and neat, tidy units. They are holding up well to regular trail rides and schooling sessions. I wash them off with water if they get grubby. I don't know how durable they will be long-term, but at that price they are easily replaceable.
Summary: I recommend trying these out if you experience foot, ankle or knee pain at all when riding.
