Purchase: I bought this saddle barely used at my local tack shop. I'd never heard of the brand, but sat in about 25 saddles that day - the Zaldi was the most comfortable and best quality in my price range. I paid $900.
Likes: This saddle is SO comfortable and the leather is absolutely beautiful! I oiled it once when I got it and it turned the leather a beautiful, dark, brown that was buttery soft and supple! The foam panels seem like they are so comfy on my horse's back and he hasn't had a sore back since I bought this saddle. It puts me in a correct position and is very secure for jumping and flatwork.
Dislikes: The saddle was kind of reddish brown when I got it - but you can't tell now that it's been oiled. I did kind of panic when I first opened the box though - but once I sat in it, it could have been purple and I'd have kept it! Another minor thing is the thigh blocks hit me in a weird spot - I couldn't use them, but it was easy to just undo the stitching and take them off.
Quality: Very high quality. My friend got a Pessoa when I got this saddle and her's is crap and falling apart- and she spend double the money I did! She's selling her Pessoa to buy a Zaldi because she loves my saddle.
Summary: Just try one! I don't know why these saddles haven't become more quality - they are so much better than other saddles in this price range, well IMO.
