Purchase: I purchased these gloves from an ebay retail store and paid approximately $36. I bought them because they were advertised by Heritage as waterproof.
Likes: These gloves keep your hands warm in DRY conditions.
Dislikes: I wore these gloves on an hour and a half ride in a snowstorm, and about half way through my ride the gloves were SOAKED through and through. The materials and inner membrane DID NOT function as a waterproof barrier, and my hands were very wet, cold, and numb. I was miserable! I WOULD NOT recommend these gloves for wet conditions.
Quality: These gloves appear to be constructed well and the quality is good: no loose threads, seams sewn well, nice fit. They just don't hold up as a waterproof glove.
Summary: These gloves are DEFINATELY not waterproof and I would not recommend purchasing them for endeavors in wet conditions. Despite the poor performance as a waterproof glove, they are nice and warm in dry conditions. The material on the palm side of the glove provides good grip. They are also made well enough that the materials used minimize loss of communication/feel between the hand of the rider and the mouth of the horse.
