Purchase: I needed a pair of light splint boots for my horse who occasionally knocks himself during work on the flat. I bought them at Dover Saddlery for $27.90.
Likes: There isn't anything I like about these. Yes, they are incredibly lightweight, as light as a piece of construction paper and just as well fitted and effective.
Dislikes: The boots have a glossy hard vinyl shell that is contoured to fit only the horse they were molded from. There is no margin of error for the anatomical cut-out (no flex whatsoever). The boot is cheap, cheap, cheap in quality. I was actually shocked when I took them out of the box. The sizing is also really off. They run extremely small. I ordered a large. I couldn't even make the velcro straps' edges touch much less overlap, and I have a medium boned horse.
Quality: Velcro seams appear tight. The boot is so light a sneeze would send it airborne. Cheaply designed and made. Velcro straps at least half the length of comparable boots, almost strikes me as a manufacturing error but that's how they were designed.
Summary: I signed up to write this review so no one else would waste their money. I do not recommend these to anyone. Very poor concept and quality.
