Purchase: This runs for about $8 in tack stores for a pint.
Likes: This is the best whitening shampoo I have found. I used to groom and show Morgans, and nothing beats Quic Silver for getting socks white for an In-Hand class. I also have a friend who uses it on her almost-white Connemara-Welsh and he has NONE of those yellowy stains that grey horses seem to get. It also shines the coat and doesn't leave it feeling dry like some shampoos do.
Dislikes: It's a little to expensive for me. As a sixteen-year-old shucking out $80 a month for events I do not have a great deal of income, so I prefer something a little cheaper. Also I have noticed that it doesn't work as well on dirty hair; it does a better job if the horse is first bathed in a normal shampoo and then in the whitening shampoo.
Quality: It comes in a normal plastic bottle with a flip-top. Purple color that can stain hands.
Summary: This is the best shampoo for whites but best used on small white spots to be economical; use something else for all-over body whitening.
