Close Contact Saddles
Manufacturer: Le Councours LTD.
Model: Close Contact
Category: Close Contact Saddles
Purchase: I found it used at a 4-H tack sale for $450. They are about 1000-2000 dollars new.
Likes: It is very high quality, and has lasted a while in near-perfect condition. I love the smooth leather and it is perfect when jumping. The knee pads are well padded. It lets me get a correct position easily.
Dislikes: It can be slippery if you are riding in it in jeans.
Quality: Very high-quality, lasted for years. Nice, tight stitching. Has a very shallow seat. Made in Switzerland. The manufacturer is very specialized and does not make a whole lot of saddles a year.
Summary: I love this saddle. It was a steal for the price I got it for. I may have still bought it even if it was full price. Slipping is not a problem if you wear breeches.
