Purchase: I received the saddle about 6 years ago. I can't believe it has been that long! I was really thinking this would be a "get by" saddle and I would only have it while I was in between saddles. However, it has become my one and only english saddle. It was bought on State Line Tack for about $200.00 - a real steal.
Likes: Well, just about everything. The price was great. The saddle fits my stock horse really well and also fit another horse we had. It puts me in a good position, which is a plus for the price. I have done low-level dressage in it and have jumped in it as well. In 6 years I have NEVER had a problem with it. The leathers and saddle look new. It is a very safe and comfortable saddle.
Dislikes: I don't like the creaky noises that it still makes and it is now too big for me, but that was because I lost weight. That, however, cannot be held against it!
Quality: It is great! For the $200.00 I spent on it, it has been an absolute steal. 6 years of riding in it has not phased the construction one bit. It is also SUPER easy to keep clean. The billets and leathers hardly look used.
Summary: I would definitely buy another one if I needed. If these saddles are the same quality as the older ones, then you can rely on them. The price may scare you, but this traditional leather saddle girl has been changed forever by this saddle. It is of great quality and has fit horses and large ponies very well. I would totally recommend it.
