Purchase: I bought this beautiful bridle from a horse show vendor in VA for around $300. The reins are sold separately for around $150.
Likes: The leather is buttery soft and darkens beautifully. It draws attention to the horse's head in a good way.
Dislikes: The leather is almost too soft (it stretches easily if you oil it a lot to make it a dark brown) and the bridle is rather expensive. A good alternative is the Dover Circuit Grand Prix bridle (that's what I use for schooling, and you can hardly tell the difference). If you plan to use a Myler bit (with slots) it won't work because the doubled leather where the bit attaches is too thick to go through the slots.
Quality: The craftsmanship is incredible and the stitching is perfect. I've never felt nicer leather in my life!
Summary: If you have $350 to spend on a bridle, this is the perfect bridle for you. It is gorgeous!! I really like the padded bridle on horses with bigger heads.
