Purchase: Bought in Ashe Equestrian, athlone, Ireland Paid: 300 Euro
Likes: No need for breaking in with these boots, perfect comfort from the first wear. The supple leather allows close contact and after 6 months of wear, they have not bunched at the ankle the way previous leather tall boots have. The treated leather is waterproof and easy to look after. The full length zipper at the back makes life so much easier! The trad on the boots is designed to fit the SCS3 stirrup treads and provides that extra bit of stability in the saddle. No more losing your irons!
Dislikes: Pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Quality: So well made. Beautiful supple full grain leather with a lining of pigskin, very tough zipper with velcro tab at the top. well contoured to look great on. The heel and front sole are equipped with Aergozone Impact-Absorbing technology. The MST steel insert has a unique design specially produced with the aim of increasing stability while at the same time allowing maximum impact absorption in the Aergozone System. Ergonomically designed, removable EVA insole with impact-absorbing Poron pads, and the A.C.E. system, which helps to stimulate blood circulation in the entire foot.
Summary: Best boots I've ever worn. As comfy as slippers, but designed for heavy duty riding. Look good enough for the show ring too!
Usefulness Rating: 2.85714 out of 5.
