Purchase: Shepler's; I have had several pairs and can't recall the price
Likes: These are very comfortable, break in fast, don't really want to take them off at the end of the day. They seem to last for up to 4 years of constant wear and moderate abuse. The styling, especially the roper toe, is ok and better looking than other ropers I have seen. Quality seems very good; my last pair I had 3.5 years, had to restitch once and resole twice. Easy on and off. Great work boot.
Dislikes: The leather outsole is hazardous on wet surfaces, very slippery. I believe the ropers are available with a composite sole which would have much greater traction.
Quality: Construction and quality seem very good. The last pair was made in Mexico and have lasted 3.5 years. The lowers are split out now but I still wear them.
Summary: I have worn these boots all day everyday doing farm chores, riding, going to church, everything. They are very comfortable, easy to get on/off, and are well constructed. I believe the going price for these is about $100, and because they hold up so well, I think they are worth the price. With my boots, they seem to run a half size large.
