Purchase: I purchased the bit wipes at my local tack store after seeing an advertisement for bit wipes in a horse magazine. I paid $13.90.
Likes: Besides the fact that they have a wonderful aroma, the wipes make it easy for me to clean my horse bits. No more do I have to fill up a water bucket and no more do I drop my reins in the water accidentally as I try to lower the bit into the bucket for cleaning. I noticed that two of my horses, who are usually hesitant to open their mouths as I put on the bridle, seemed more willing to do so when I used the bit wipes right before bridling.
Dislikes: The only thing not to like about these wipes is their price. They are just too expensive.
Quality: The wipes hold up well to use. They do not shred or tear into pieces during cleaning. They were moderately easy to remove from the container.
Summary: These bit wipes would make a terrific horsey gift. Their peppermint scent is just right for the winter holiday season. They also could become a useful training aid for a horse that is hesitant about taking the bit in his mouth. While more of a luxury than a necessity in the barn due to their price, Horse Amour Peppermint Bit Wipes are a fun addition to the tack room.
