Purchase: I bought this belly guard on ebay for about $30.00. I needed an affordable belly guard for schooling.
Likes: I like the fleece on the underside and the elastic attachments. The size is also nice and covers a broad area.
Dislikes: When I got the belly guard, there was a sticker on the leather that said 'made in India.' The leather is also stiff and hard. After many uses and cleanings, the leather condition has not changed. The guard is also quite thin.
Quality: I believe the fleece is synthetic, but it is still quite soft and has kept it's condition quite well. The leather is from India and is of poor quality, but is not falling apart. The stitching is nice and the elastic attachments are strong and thick.
Summary: I would really like this belly guard if the leather was of better quality and a bit thicker. Everything else is quite nice for everyday schooling.
