Purchase: From UK lister on eBay, total with shipping was about $110.00. After reviewing information on comfort poll pieces I thought this may be an asset for the horse.
Likes: Leather is quite nice, comfort poll is really soft, a bit larger than standard poll pieces, wider, thicker. Buckles are good quality. I still think oiling will help break away from that "new" feeling. It appears small at first with a large overpowering caveson and the side pieces are cut a little different than I'm accustomed to.
Dislikes: The crank caveson is thick and wide. If your horse has a less than masculine or a refined face it will be way too much. It is super soft, the horse will love the feel but it looks as though it may be made for a workhorse face. Don't care for the rubber lined reins though they have their place in an eventing environment where water or heavy sweat may be a factor. May be abrasive on hands ungloved. I will probably change the caveson.
Quality: Leather is good English leather, dye is well done, buckles are good and smooth, good quality overall. Stitching is very good.
Summary: Might purchase just the comfort poll piece in the future to add to a favorite bridle.
