Purchase: I bought a five pound bag of the Buckeye Horse Treats (Apple Flavor) and planned to pass them out to friends. They came from Everything Equine! in Elgin, IL for $8.99.
Likes: When I opened the bag, it had a sweet AND sour apple smell that woke me up. Friends were delighted to recieve them because of Buckeye's good reputation. One girl in particular has a very colic prone horse. He can only eat grass hay and Buckeye grain. These treats contain NO molasses and do not make him sick!
Dislikes: Since, I have tried the other flavors (Apple, Carrot, Peppermint, and Licorice). My horses seem to like all but carrot, it is the least favorite for both of us. The smell is a little too sharp and if you hand-feed, it leaves your hands yellow.
Quality: They are a very good product, and all the ingredients can be found in Buckey's feed. It's healthy for your horse, and resonably priced. Ido recomend it.
