Purchase: I purchased my Malika dressage saddle second hand from Devoucoux in December 2006, mind you it was manufactured in 2006 number 1649 out of 2500 saddles made so it was rather new! It cost 1950GBP approx as Devoucoux sell in Euro.
Previously I had tried a friend's Devoucoux on him and he rode beautifully and the saddle did not move even though the girth was too long. We rode a dressage test in this saddle.
Likes: It has been fantastic! my horse moves better than in any other make of dressage saddle I have tried. It is beautifully made and very comfortable to ride in. It is worth every penny.
Previously I have had trouble as my horse is young and continually changing shape. He is still changing shape but the saddle seems to change with him, so I am not continually having saddle fittings and buying new saddles.
Dislikes: Nothing
Quality: It is a singly flat, split girth version of the Malika. It is a 17", standard flap, medium fit saddle in Buffalo skin. Devoucoux only make to order and fortunately someones horse was the same size as mine and they were the same size as me (I'm small). The quality is second to none.
Summary: I would buy another Devoucoux saddle. They are expensive but well worth the money.
