Purchase: I bought this at a horse expo in Las Vegas for $1200. I traded a Bob Marshall Circle Y in for it in a straight trade.
Likes: I LOVE this saddle. It puts my leg and feet in just the right places and it's well balanced. The flex tree helps me feel my horse under me and also helps this saddle fit every horse I've ever put it on including my wide, mutton-withered arab and my narrow, high-withered hanoverian.
The saddle is light weight.
Dislikes: I bought the saddle used so I don't know how it was treated before I bought it. But the saddle looks quite worn. There are areas that are frayed. Perhaps better care would have helped it look better for a longer time.
The off billet and latigo is some of the junkiest, cheapest nylon I've ever seen. But those parts are easy enough to replace.
Quality: The damage to the saddle is cosmetic. Since I don't know how it was cared for, it's not clear if the cosmetic damage is due to poor care or due to the quality of the construction.
Summary: Despite any flaws mentioned above, I love this saddle and wouldn't trade it for anything. It fits every horse I've put it on. It's super comfortable. It's reasonably attractive. The flex tree works well for both arena work and long trail rides. The seat is comfy. The saddle is well balanced and helps put your body in the right position for good riding.
