Purchase: I bought this blanket because of an extremely cold Colorado winter when she was a two year old. I wanted a cheaper blanket since she wouldn't wear it too long (little did I know she didn't grow much more and has worn it for coming on 3 winters). I bought it at State Line Tack (when Petsmart owned it) for around $80. You can get it at Horse.com now.
Likes: For the price, it definitely was a good product. Great materials and make, my horse stayed dry and warm (she had her full winter coat as well, it was lows of -10F for a week that year!). Saxons tend to fit a little small, and this one is true to that, her size would usually require a 75-76, but she wore a 78 in this blanket (it was a tad big but a size smaller would have been too small, she is a 15.1HH Belgian/Quarter Horse cross).
Dislikes: Partly my fault for only getting a 600D blanket, but there are now numerous tears. It did last 2 winters running in pasture with trees and not the best fencing, but in this third winter, it needs numerous repairs. A horse who is really rough on their blanket (or their mates are hard on them), a high denier may be needed. A stabled horse may be ok with this one though
Quality: A as I stated above, make and materials were great for the price. Seams and buckles/straps were well reinforced, I had no problems with leg straps tearing out as some cheaper blankets tend to do. Waterproof was fine and my horse stayed dry. As I also stated above, Saxons tend to run small so go up a size or order the bigger size if your horse is in between.
Summary: Overall, a great blanket for the price. 600D wasn't quite tough enough for me, but a stabled or docile horse may keep it nicer.
