Purchase: I purchased this jacket online for approximately $150; I wanted a warm, waterproof jacket suitable for winter riding and barn work.
Likes: The Mountain Horse Grace jacket is warm, waterproof and lightweight. It has a removable hood which is large enough to cover a helmet. There are several toggles and an elastic panel in the back to allow for a custom-fit and for movement in the saddle. There are pockets galore, including a cell-phone pocket inside. For safe night-riding, there is reflective trim around the sleeves and on the back.
Dislikes: I like everything about it - I just had a hard time deciding between the soft espresso-brown or the light blue!! (I went with the brown)
Quality: This jacket is well-made, with zippered vents under the back yoke for ventilation. The fabric is nylon, but looks like a finely-woven canvas which is light-weight, smooth and waterproof. The inside is channel-quilted polyester. The jacket is machine-washable.
Summary: The Mountain Horse Grace jacket looks as nice as it wears. This jacket was clearly designed by a thoughtful rider who was able to build lots of nice features into a jacket suitable for cold, wet winter riding.
