Likes: I bought this pad to replace my old Diamond Wool pad. These pads are extremely durable, wick moisture away from your horse, have great cushioning and come in lots of different colors and styles. I like the pads with shim inserts you can remove when your horse's shape changes or you buy a different saddle. These pads work great on round horses and keep the saddle from slipping. The top stays dry so your saddle never gets sweat on it during a long ride.
Dislikes: There is a bad review on here about a Diamond Wool pad with a mesh bottom. I have not tried these, but I have heard similar things about other brands of pads that have the mesh bottom. They are too sticky and take the horse's hide off.
Quality: My last Diamond Wool pad lasted 6 years and is still in great shape, I only bought a new one because the color was fading.
Summary: The regular wool bottom pads are great for trail riding, and are a good value too.
