Purchase: The saddle was a gift to me from my boyfriend. I believe the price range was $700 to $800. He purchased it from Big Dee's tack Shop ( my favorite place to shop )
Likes: Damage to my shoulder that lead to an operation that lead to much whining and fussing from me about how heavy my old saddle was and how I really really wished I had a lighter saddle that would be easier for me to throw onto the horse. This saddle totally fits the bill. It weighs about 25 pounds,is really beautiful,just enough flash to get noticed but still perfect for everyday. Is very well built and comfy to ride in the arena or on the trail. This is the 1st saddle I had ever had with rough outs, and I must say I really like them.
Dislikes: The only real thing I can fuss about is there are no dee rings on the back to tie packs on for trail riding. That is an easy fix, as the rings can be purchased from Tandy's or local tack shops and attatched to the conchos.
Quality: Hand Made with a Five year Guarantee on the tree. Rawhide on Horn and Stirrups. Floral tooling on a halfbreed design with rough out fenders and jockeys. Swells specially designed for Barrel Racing! Deep Seat with a 4 inch cantle. Blevins Buckles,Tie Strap and Off Billet. There are sterling silver plated conchos and sterling silver trim at the rear billet holders. The horn has rawhide braiding and a Billy Cook Silver engraved Concho on the horn. The seat is padded and also has a Billy Cook oval engraved plate attached. In skirt rigging with stainless steel dees.
Summary: I love this saddle, and each person that has had the chance to ride in it says the same, great feel and fit, super quality and great looks ! I am very happy with the saddle, and feel it will last for years and years.
