Model: Endurance Equitation
Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: I bought this saddle from a local dealer in Alabama. As with most dealers if you buy it, it is yours. I had to have a good secure saddle to go on my TWH for Sheriffs Dep. Mounted Unit training that required long hours in the saddle. I paid around $1400 for the saddle
Likes: The saddle is one of the most comfortable saddles I have ever been in. It sits deep enough for the panic 180 deg. turns from cannon fire "14 real cannons" from a horse in training. The leather is very soft. It is light enough to be easy on the horse. It is well liked by both western and english riders on the trail and work with the unit. All in all the saddle is well made. It has that eye candy look also. I have owned it about 2 yrs.
Dislikes: The saddle doesnt fit but one of my 6 horses. My 3yr old Walker out grew it in about 4 mo. The saddle is made weird in the front and pinches in at the withers more than the rest of the tree. There is a small rounded bulge area that sticks out and just doesn't need to be there. If your horse is anorexic or thin with no shoulders it would be fine. The longer I own this saddle the more I hear the same story from other people. I even tried a wide tree and it has the same problem. My horse won't stand still at all when I go to mount with this saddle on it. She stands perfectly still with all of my other saddles.
Quality: It is well made as far as I can tell. It holds up to the Tucker name in quality.
Summary: I like the saddle as far as the ride but if you want one, only buy one from a dealer that will let you demo/ test ride!!!!!! I found out the hard way. The main thing is. We need to be more worried as to how the saddle fits the horse more than our rear end. Because if the horse is not happy how can we enjoy the ride.
