Purchase: I originally bought these breeches at Saddlery Liquidators in Haymarket, VA for $47.00 a pair. I was looking for a good quality, inexpensive, nice looking pair of breeches.
Likes: I can't say enough good things about this particular brand of breeches. I bought 6 pairs 5 years ago and am just now having to replace 3 of them. They are cool in the high humidty summer, warm in the 10 degree winter and look nice enough to wear while competing at the "A" rated HITS series and the Washington International indoors. I ride professionally 4-6 horses per day, 5-7 days per week. They just don't give out.
Dislikes: The suede grip patches sometimes wear if you don't turn them inside out before washing. This makes them look less pretty but in no way affects the way they perform.
Quality: The quailty and construction of these breeches are supurb. They can accommidate all heights of riders and you can choose from the elastic cuff jodphers or the hook and loop closure of the breeches, I wear both comfortably under my tall boots. The zippers last forever and it took 5 years to wear through ANY portion of the breech. The ribbed breeches have a 4 way stretch that never restricts the rider. I have just purched thier Savannah regular style breech and have no doubt they will perform just as well.
Summary: I have worn Tailerd Sportsman, Harry Halls, and Ariat breeches. I would never trade a pair of my Tuff Riders used for any of these brand new. Even the raing of 5 seems to low for this superior product. You can find these breeches nationally at doversaddlery.com
