Purchase: I bought this bridle at a local 90% western tack store. It cost me about $49. I bought it because I needed an inexpensive, yet good quality bridle to train a new horse in.
Likes: Great quality for a low price and even comes with reins!
Dislikes: The bridle fits well on the horse in question. She is a full size quarter horse and not too small, yet the noseband needs a few more holes punched in it so it will be positioned correctly above the bit. The rest of the buckles on the bridle are dead center but this one.
Quality: Smooth supple dark leather with contrast cream stitching on the brow band. The rest of the sticking is in the same dark brown and very even and neat. The buckles fit closely with the leather and are not loose, while the areas that attach to the bit are tight and impossible to open with out pushing towards the rider and into the horses mouth before being pulled free, making it hard to open except by hand.
Summary: For the price, I’d recommend this bridle to anyone either looking for a good sturdy schooling bridle or for a spare to put into your tack box.
