Purchase: I bought this saddle from my local tack store (The Riding Store). I paid about $600 for the saddle with all the trimmings in 1997/98. This version has plain flaps.
Likes: I know there are a lot of reviews on here singing songs of praise for this saddle and I cannot agree enough! My saddle is a true close contact saddle and does not have knee rolls or blocks. I originally bought it to fit my first horse (a skinny thoroughbred) and it has fit every horse I have ridden since. I love that it is lightweight (as I transport it a lot and have a horse who has a sensitive back) and it has a very comfortable seat. I have sat in many an expensive "bucket" saddle and I always come back to my Graduate.
Dislikes: For those who prefer having knee rolls or blocks, the lack of them can make your ride feel a lot different.
Quality: I think the longevity of my saddle speaks for itself. I bought it about 10 years ago and wipe it down after I ride. No miracle maintenance necessary, keep it oiled and clean and it will last.
