Purchase: I bought my first apir of these boots fron Dover's Saddelery. I bought them because I noticed that they were the only kind of boots that my trainer used, so i figured that they had to be good. I paid $137.60 for them.
Likes: There are many, many things that I like about these boots. For one, they are made of a hard outer shell which protect the horse's legs form brushing and bruising. The inner gel protects the tendons by absorbing and speading the pressure from shock that is caused by kicking. They are also great in all weather. Whether it's muddy, raining, and wet, or if it's 100 degrees, and really dusty, these boots really hold up.
Dislikes: I don't like that the boots don't come in sizes. I have a half-arabian, he's not a pony, but a small horse. These boots in original size are a little too tall for him, inflicting with his ability to fold his forearms when jumping. The pony sized is too small and doesn't give him enough protection.
Quality: Theses boots are made of a hard outer shell. They and open front for jumping purposes. They have a gel inner lining that absorbs and spreads shock. There are two elastic straps with velcro across the front holding the boot on.
Summary: All in all I really like these boots. i use them everyday whether I'm schooling my jumpers and hunters or taking my western pleasure for teail rides
